Meet OUR HOST Ryann Guy.
Ryann Guy was born and raised outside of Atlantic City, New Jersey where she grew up playing travel softball, soccer and nationally competing in Tae Kwon Do. She moved to Alabama when she was 18 and obtained a bachelors degree focusing in Sports Broadcast Journalism and Spanish. Her accomplishments in college include working as a sports reporter for The University of South Alabama. She was the in-game promotions host from men and women’s basketball and also the softball sideline reporter for JagNationTv. Ryann moved to Colorado at the end of 2019 and is currently an elementary school teacher as well as a huge asset to the DWSC and building some exciting news coming for members!
Meet OUR Panelist Suzy Gigante.
Suzy Gigante is the Community Engagement Manager at Virgin Unite, the independent entrepreneurial foundation of Sir Richard Branson and the Virgin Group. She manages the global community of donors and supporters made up of high-net-worth/ultra-high-net-worth individuals, philanthropists, business leaders, and celebrities. Her role is largely focused on connecting the dots between the incredible, passionate people in the Virgin Unite community and the frontline leaders and organizations that need their support most.
Prior to Suzy’s time at Virgin, her professional experiences included membership strategy and operations at President Bill Clinton’s Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), project management and communications at Harvard University, public relations at Interpublic Group, and event planning and design with American celebrity event planner David Tutera.
Meet OUR Panelist Laney Hall.
Laney has been a part of the events community in Colorado for over 10 years. She is a the owner of Platypus Papers, an award winning custom stationery, decor and personalization shop that serves events, individuals and corporate clients, all over North America. She is also the president of the International Live Events Association, Denver Chapter and has been serving on the board of ILEA Denver for the past 5 years. Laney is passionate about serving and supporting the event community, finding ways to stretch her creative mind, and keeping bees with her husband Joel.
Meet OUR Panelist Shawn Jung.
Shinyong (Shawn) Jung, Ph.D., DES, is an Assistant Professor of Event and Meeting Management in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University.
Prior to joining Purdue, he was an Assistant Professor in the School of Hospitality at MSU Denver for three years. He has global industry experiences in the hospitality and events industry with Shepard Exposition Services, UNLV Student Union & Event Services, Midas Convention Services in the U.S., and COEX Intercontinental Hotel in Seoul, South Korea.
